The entire requirements in the heat energy of Impol Seval a.d. were provided through the combustion of the high valuable propane butane gas in the gas ovens, two excluded in the boiler-room which used heavy fuel oil..

The entire installed power of the thermic aggregates is ~88MW, so the consumption of the propane butane gas used to reach 800 t/month.

In order to reduce energy costs, the decision was made to replace an expensive energy source like the propane butane gas with the inexpensive natural gas.

This Gas Distribution Project anticipated that Impol Seval a.d. should be connected to the Main Natural Gas Conduit.

With the realization of the Project (in June 2006) the following effects have been met:

- A significant reduction of the energy costs

- The problem of the urgent daily acqisition of the natural gas due to a limited storage space has been eliminated

- The reduced generation of the air polluting substances as a product of the propane butane gas and heavy fuel oil combustions
