By designing this Project, the following principles were put forth: - Chosing the equipment that can guarantee an increment of output levels of the Foundry by new 50.000 t/year of cast blocks - Chosing the equipment which is characteristic for its advanced technical and technological solutions to the melting and casting procedures - Chosing the equipment that meets the EU standards on the protection of environment and working space So, the Casting Battery has been chosen that includes the following units: - One two-chamber melting furance with an output performance of 89 tons, and including the regeneratory burners, one electromagnetic pump and one charging unit - Tilt-casting furance having an output performance of 45 tons, and with the porous brick wall protection that enables the argon degassing - One unit for the permanent argondegassing, type ALPUR, - One unit for the permanent filtering of the liquid metal, with the ceramic filter, FILTER BOX - One unit for the continuous modification of the liqid metal, with an ALTiB wire - One automatic continuous casting unit Here is the list of the companies that took part in the realization of the Project: - SISTEM TEKNIK – Turky, JASPER – Germany, GOUDA – Netherlands, EMP – England, NOVELIS – France, WAGSTAFF – USA, TC-ENGINEERING – Norway as well as other internationally well-known companies After one-year exploitation, the Casting Baterry has proved all the projected outputs together with the performances required.
