The Four-high Cold Rolling Mill “Tecmo Hunter” was installed and put into operation in 1973. Its production and technological characteristics were based on the relevant international solutions of the late Sixties.

The objective of its modernization was to:

- level the rolling mill, i.e. its performances with the up-to-date constructions and the technical and technological solutions

- make room for the maximum utilization of the output performance of the rolling mill

- Increase the quality standards for the cold rolled sheets

- Enlarge the assortment of the products

- Reduce the flow factor

- Humanize labour and to reduce the environmental pollution as well as the pollution of the work space

- Provide higher safety at work.

The Modernization Project of the Rolling Mill has assumed the following:

- Replacement of the current electro-mechanical adjastment of the rolls with the hydraulic one

- Installation of the “meter roll” as well as the new roll cooling system and the computer system for automatic flatness control and automatic thickness control

- Installation of the thickness meter

- Installation of the new sheet oil blow-off system

- Reconstruction of the current oil vapour aspiration system

- Installation of the new high/low pressure station...

The Revitalization of the Project was entrusted to the company “VAI”, England. The modernized Rolling Mill was put into operation at the beginning of 2004, which has provided a significant enlargement of the production volume of Impol Seval a.d., all projested effects included.
